CAN YOUR FAITH CARRY THE PROMISES OF GOD?
I have since noticed as a Christian that it is one thing for God to make promises to believers but another thing altogether for them to have the requisite faith to appropriate or birth them. The question is, can your faith carry God’s promises in the scriptures? The faith of many is not able to carry the promises of God? He has promised to give a husband, a wife, money, there shall none be barren in the land; He has promised all that pertain to life and to godliness but the point remains, can your faith carry any of these?
WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
“Where is your faith?” is a simple question which Jesus asked His disciples who feared exceedingly while weathering a storm. This is a question He would never have asked if He was not certain that God had endued His disciples, indeed all of us, with a measure of faith in order to embark on warfares. The question, “where is your faith?” comes when we fail to apply faith as requisite action when necessary.
IF I BE A MAN OF GOD
The background to the topic stems from Ahaziah the king of Israel at Samaria who fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber and was sick unto death. He sent messengers to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether he shall survive. Sent by an angel of the Lord, Elijah the Tishbite, accosted the messengers on the way asking, “Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that you go to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? Now therefore thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.” When the messengers turned back and reported their encounter to King Ahaziah, he quickly dispatched a captain of fifty with his fifty to arrest Elijah and bring him bound to himself
THE SUPERNATURAL HEALINGS
Every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is entitled to lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover. Mark 16:17-18 say, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18 .They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” The power to heal the sick is in categories. Baptized in the Holy Ghost, we need to be readily conscious to ask God to give us gifts that would back up our ministries – gifts of revelation, supernatural faith, working of miracles and healing.
